STARS ARE HURTING

The injuries have hampered the Stars, as so many important skaters are missing from the lineup. Patrick Sharp (concussion) and Jason Spezza (lower body) are day-to-day, while Jiri Hudler (illness), Cody Eakin (knee) and Ales Hemsky (hip) are all on injured reserve.

QUICK OFF THE MATT

Devils forward Mike Cammalleri, who has missed the past two games for personal reasons, is not expected to travel with the team on this road trip. Cammalleri has not had a good start to the season as he had hoped for after finishing 2015-16 with 14 goals and 24 assists for 38 points.

BUCKING THE TREND

The Devils enter tonight’s game at American Airlines Arena in Dallas with a four-game winning streak, however the Stars have gained points in five straight games against the Devils (3-0-2).
