NASHVILLE PREDATORS (14-12-5) @ NEW JERSEY DEVILS (12-12-7)

SECOND OF TWO

Tonight the Devils face the Nashville Predators for the second and final time this season. In their first meeting, they edged the Predators 5-4 in overtime on Dec. 3 at Bridgestone Arena. The Devils look to have success on the road tonight, as they hope to snap a six-game losing streak that began Dec. 8 in Montreal.

BACK HOME

The Devils have played five of their past six games on the road, and have managed to pick up only one point during this stretch. Despite their recent slide, New Jersey still sits at .500 on the season. However, they need to take advantage of some home-cooking as they skate in Newark for three of their next four games.

ROOKIE ROLLING

Forward Miles Wood scored a goal and also led the Devils with six shots and four hits against the Rangers Sunday at The Garden. The 21-year-old rookie enters tonight’s game with three goals this season, including two in his past three games.

SUBBAN OUT

Nashville defenseman and key offseason acquisition P.K. Subban missed his second straight game Monday against Philadelphia due to an upper-body injury. Subban did not travel with the club on their two-game East coast road trip. Through 29 games with the Preds, Subban has produced seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points.

PALMIERI LOOKING FOR GOALS

Winger Kyle Palmieri registered two assists in the shootout loss against the Rangers on Sunday, giving him three assists in his past three contests. Although he’s collected helpers this past week, Palmieri will need to pick up the pace to get close to last season’s 30-goal output, as he currently sits with only four goals with 12 assists for 16 points.
