    MSG Set to Deliver Extensive Coverage of the Knicks In the First Round of the NBA Playoffs

    New York, NY (April 27, 2012) – MSG announced today that it will have extensive coverage of the NBA Playoffs’ New York Knicks-Miami Heat Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series, including the game telecasts of every weekday game. MSG’s first game telecast will take place on Monday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. when the Knicks and Heat face off in Game 2.

    MSG will also produce the one-hour “Ford Knicks Postgame Show” for every Knicks playoff game in the first round, starting on Saturday, April 28 immediately following ABC’s national coverage of the game. Games appearing on MSG will be preceded by a 60-minute pregame show, “Visa Knicks Game Night.”

    MSG’s telecasts will feature Mike Breen and Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier courtside as play-by-play man and analyst, respectively. Tina Cervasio will report from the sideline for all MSG games and Jill Martin will contribute for all games at Madison Square Garden. MSG’s studio crew for the first round of the playoffs will include hosts Al Trautwig and Bill Pidto, and analysts Bernard King, Kelly Tripucka and Alan Hahn.

    MSG will welcome the Knicks home for Game 3 on Thursday, May 3 with an extended pregame schedule. At 5:00 p.m., MSG will telecast the “Knicks Playoffs Fan Central” special from Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal. Hosted by Hahn and Spero Dedes, the one-hour show will feature live interviews with Knicks legends from the Knicks Playoffs Fan Central Presented by Chase experience that will run May 1-3.

    At 6:00 p.m., MSG will roll out the Blue Carpet for the Knicks playoff home opener with the “Chase Presents Knicks Blue Carpet” show, a live 30-minute pregame special outside of Madison Square Garden. Martin and John Giannone will report from the Blue Carpet and interview celebrity Knicks fans as they enter “The World’s Most Famous Arena.” The show will precede “Visa Knicks Game Night” which starts at 6:30 p.m.

    Starting at 2:00 p.m. on each MSG game day, Pidto will host live, one-minute updates twice-an-hour from the Geico MSG Studios, giving fans the latest information from the Knicks and around the NBA.
