Tom Wilson Facts

1. Tom Wilson was born on April 15, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

2. Moved to Los Angeles in early 1980s and was roommates with comedians Andrew Dice Clay and Yakov Smirnoff.

3. Starred in the Back to the Future trilogy, playing the roles of Biff Tannen, Griff Tannen and Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen.

4. Wrote a song called “Biffs Questions Song” about the countless questions asked on his experiences while making the famous movies, and now uses the bit in his stand up act.

5. Started playing music in the 1970s while in church.

6. Regularly performs at the Improv Comedy Club & The Comedy Store in Hollywood.

7. Wrote and preformed one-man show “Cowboy Tommy.”

8. He is also an accomplished photographer and has one of his photographs in the permanent collection of the California Museum of Photography.

9. Has more than 50 films, TV shows and comedy specials to his credit, including “The Spongebob SquarePants Movie”, “Gargoyles” and “Freaks and Geeks.”

10. Is a contributor to the “Bob & Tom Show” and is one of the comics featured in their comedy tour “Bob & Tom Comedy All-Stars.”

11. Has performed on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, but not at the same time.

12. Released a contemporary Christian album in 2000 called “In the Name of the Father.”

13. Wilson is a very talented painter, as he paints beautiful portaits of children’s toys and was selected in 2006 to be a member of the California Featured Artist Series at Disneyland.

14. He hosted a podcast called “Big Pop Fun”, where he shared stories about his career and had chats with celebrity friends, on from November 2011 to July 2014.
