DELIVERED BEST EVER GAME RATING WITH 4.47 NIELSEN HH AND 3.31 A25-54 DEMOGRAPHIC RATING FOR GAME SEVEN
NIELSEN HH RATINGS UP 65% COMPARED TO LAST ISLANDERS PLAYOFF SERIES ON MSG TWO YEARS AGO
New York, NY (April 28, 2015) – Game seven between the Islanders and Capitals last night scored an all-time high Nielsen HH rating for the Islanders on MSG Networks – a 4.47, averaging 459,786 total viewers. It is the highest rated Islanders game on MSG since the network began tracking ratings in 1991. In addition, the telecast also delivered the highest A25-54 demographic rating for an Islanders game with a 3.31. The series against the Washington Capitals delivered the highest first round ratings for the Islanders on MSG Networks in both the HH* and A25-54** demographic, averaging a 2.49 Nielsen HH rating, up 65% from the playoff series in 2012-13 on MSG Networks and averaging a 1.76 A25-54 demographic rating, up 56% among A25-54 from the playoff series in 2012-13.
MSG Networks’ telecasts were on both MSG+ and MSG. All figures represent a combination of the two networks’ ratings during the game.
