NEW JERSEY DEVILS (9-3-3) @ ANAHEIM DUCKS (8-6-3)
LOOKING FOR A SWEEP
Tonight’s game is the second of two between the Devils and Ducks this season, as the Devils defeated Anaheim, 2-1 on Oct. 18 at Prudential Center in the Devils’ home-opener. Taylor Hall led the way scoring both of New Jersey’s goals.
Unfortunately, Hall will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks, as he was placed on the IR with torn meniscus in the right knee. Hall’s offensive skills will be missed, as the first-year Devils’ forward leads the club in scoring with five goals and seven assists for 12 points.
RED HOT DEVILS
The Devils enter tonight’s game with a season-high, five-game winning streak and have won their last three games at “The Rock.” With their recent exceptional play, the Devils are 8-1-2 over their last 10 games and now have 21 points overall.
VERSUS FORMER MATES
Kyle Palmieri had the lone assist on Adam Henrique’s game-winner Tuesday in Dallas. The former Ducks’ winger enters tonight’s game with two points in his last two games, and three goals with four assists for seven points this season.
PERRY THE PASSER?
Cory Perry, who leads the Ducks in scoring this season (4-11-15), recorded two assists in Tuesday’s 4-1 win over the Oilers. The sharpshooter from Peterborough, Ontario can be lethal but also uncharacteristically gaining many points this season with assists, already notching 11 after recording only 28 in 82 games last season.
