Keith Kinkaid was stellar between the pipes for the Devils, stopping 43 of the 44 shots he faced in regulation and OT, then denied the Caps’ two attempts in the shootout, as New Jersey came away with a 2-1 victory.

P.A. Parenteau netted his team-leading 10th goal of the season unassisted in the second period for the Devils, who were playing without Taylor Hall due to a lower-body injury.
In the shootout, Kinkaid stopped T.J. Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov, while Michael Cammalleri and Jacob Josefson converted to give New Jersey the two points.
