1 Rock On

In the first two meetings between the Rangers and Devils, both games were played at The Garden. The remaining two tilts will be at The Rock, where New Jersey looks to capitalize on its home turf behind their faithful fans.

2 Schneider Gets the Nod

Cory Schneider, tonight’s expected starting goalie, has a career record of 5-6-3 against the Rangers, with a .918 SV% and a 2.47 GAA.

3 No Place Like Home

Tonight is the second of New Jersey’s season-high, six-game, home-stand, spanning 14 days from Dec. 15-29.

Thus far they are 2-0-0 and will face the Rangers, Blackhawks, Red Wings, and Sabres.

4 The Time is Now

At game 34 of the Devils season, this is just the club’s sixth game against a Metropolitan Division opponent.

New Jersey is 2-3-0 against inter-division opponents with the Metro being the only division where their record is below .500. If the Devils want to secure a playoff position early, the time is now.
