1 Tough Challenge

Playing the second half of a back-to-back, the Islanders now have to face the Western Conference-leading St. Louis Blues, who are on a three-game winning streak. New York has struggled in St. Louis, winning only one of their past six there. These teams met in Brooklyn on Columbus Day, with the Blues winning in a shootout.

2 The Greiss Is Right

After Jaroslav Halak got the start last night, Thomas Greiss will be in net tonight. Greiss is 3-3-2 in seven starts this season and made 35 saves when these teams met in October.

3 Get On the Board First

The Isles have allowed the first goal in 12 of 16 games this season and have been outscored 17-11 in the first period. However, in four games where they have scored first, they are 4-0-0.

4 Help On the Way

The Islanders recalled Josh Ho-Sang for tonight’s game. The talented youngster has four assists in six games with the Isles this season and had six points in six games in the AHL. New York will need him with Nikolay Kulemin out and Anthony Beauvillier questionable for tonight.
