1 Cooling Off the Jets

It’s a favorable matchup for the Islanders who have enjoyed success against the Jets in recent years. The Isles have won four out of their last five matchups against the Winnipeg, though they did lose their last matchup back on March 16, 2017. The Jets currently are sitting in second place in the Central Division with a 20-10-6 record.

2 Bailey Continues to Stay Hot

Josh Bailey became the first player in the NHL to reach 35 assists this season with three assists Thursday night against the Ducks. He’s also the first player in the league do so within the first 35 games since Sidney Crosby and Martin St. Louis did so during the 2012-13 campaign.

3 Dynamic Duo

Bailey and John Tavares are the first Isles to have five consecutive multi-point games since Pierre Turgeon did it during the 1993-94 season.

4 Mighty Casey at the Faceoff Circle

A terrific defensive forward, Casey Cizikas has been fantastic on faceoffs this season for the Isles. The 26-year-old center has 54.6 percent of his faceoffs this season, which leads the Islanders and won 13 out of 20 draws against Anaheim Thursday night.
