1 Melo Returns to The Garden

Carmelo Anthony makes his return to The World’s Most Famous Arena for the first time since being traded by the Knicks to the Thunder tonight.

In his seven-year tenure with the Knicks, Melo averaged 24.7 points per game, 7.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

The 10-time NBA All-Star is averaging 17.7 points per game this season with the Thunder.

2 Will KP Play?

The Knicks received a scare during Thursday’s win over the Nets after Kristaps Porzingis was forced to leave the game with a sore left knee.

The team revealed Friday that the 22-year-old is questionable for tonight’s game with the injury and is considered day-to-day.

3 The Trade Revisited

Losing a player of Melo’s caliber would be a set back for most teams, but the players the Knicks received in the deal have thrived in their brief stints in New York.

Enes Kanter has quickly settled into the starting center job for the Knicks and is averaging 13.4 points per game and 10.3 rebounds.

Doug McDermott has proven to be a valuable commodity off the bench and is averaging 8.5 points per game.

Currently, the Knicks sport a 15-13 record compared to the Thunder’s 13-14 record.

4 Off the Bench

One of the driving forces in the Knicks’ win over the Nets was their bench play. The second unit scored 45 points against Brooklyn and helped pick up the slack when Porzingis left the game.
