1 No Mac

Alain Vigneault speaks to the media and gives his reasons why the team decided to sit out Ryan McDonagh for tomorrow's game in Carolina.

The Blueshirts will be without Ryan McDonagh after the captain was ruled out for tonight’s game due to injury.

“It’s just something that has been there for a little bit and doesn’t seem to be getting better,” Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said Tuesday.

McDonagh is tied for second on the team with 12 assists and is tied for the team lead in plus/minus with a plus-6 rating.

2 Carolina on Zucc's Mind

Mats Zuccarello has enjoyed success against the Hurricanes in his career, recording a point in 14 out of the last 17 games against Carolina. He also has tallied more assists against the Hurricanes than any other NHL opponent (17).

3 Grab Bag

Michael Grabner scored his ninth goal of the season in Sunday’s win over the Senators and is second on the team in goals. The Austrian winger is one of two NHL players who has registered at least 36 goals and a plus-28 rating. The other player? Connor McDavid.

4 Brady Bunch

The Rangers will be without team captain Ryan McDonagh in Wednesday's night matchup in Carolina. Brady Skjei explains how he expects the rest of the defensive group will compensate without the Blueshirts' stalwart.

With McDonagh out, expect more ice time for Brady Skjei. The defenseman tied a single-game career-high Sunday with six blocked shots in the win over Ottawa. The Minnesota native also logged heavy minutes, with 23:01 of ice time.
