4 Facts to Know for Rangers-Kings

1 Offense From Defense

Both teams have talented playmakers on defense. The two clubs are the only two teams in the league to have two defensemen with at least 15 assists (Ryan McDonagh, Kevin Shattenkirk for the Rangers, Drew Doughty and Jake Muzzin for the Kings).

McDonagh recorded an assist in Wednesday’s loss in Ottawa.

2 100 Grand

Although the Blueshirts lost on Wednesday, they did manage to score their 100th goal of the season, as Pavel Buchnevich deposited Chris Kreider‘s feed into the back of the net.

3 Garden Party

The Blueshirts have a 10-1-1 record at home since Oct. 26.

4 Gaborik Plays in 1,000th Game

Former Ranger Marian Gaborik is expected to skate in his 1,000th career game tonight at The Garden.

The 35-year-old has had a terrific NHL career, recording 400 goals and 400 assists for 800 career points. In his time with the Blueshirts, Gaborik tallied 114 goals and 115 assists.
