1 Shattenkirk Out

Kevin Shattenkirk discloses his meniscus tear, what his plan is for the remainder of the season and why he chose to have the surgery now.

The Rangers received bad news Friday after finding out Kevin Shattenkirk will be sidelined indefinitely due to a torn meniscus injury.

Shattenkirk had 23 points (5 goals, 18 assists) in 46 games and was a staple on the Blueshirts’ power play.

2 The Last Time They Met ...

The Blueshirts last played the Avs back on Opening Night at The Garden and were foiled by Colorado goalie Semyon Varlamov, who made 37 saves in Blueshirts’ 4-2 loss back on Oct. 5.

Mika Zibanejad scored twice in the contest.

3 Nash on Fire

After breaking a 12-game goal-scoring drought on Tuesday, Rick Nash has found his touch.

The Rangers’ alternate captain scored another two goals and helped propel the Blueshirts to a 4-3 win over the Sabres Thursday.

4 The RPM Line

Nash has benefited from playing with new linemates Mika Zibanejad and Pavel Buchnevich.

The trio tallied six points in the win against Buffalo (3 goals, 3 assists) and have netted nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in the last two games.
