1 First Things First

Tonight marks the first of three meetings between the Devils and Habs this year.

The two clubs will then face-off again on March 6 at Prudential Center before closing their season-series on April 1 at Bell Centre.

2 Deck the Hall

Taylor Hall will not make the road trip to Montreal.

Coach John Hynes confirms that Hall is day-to-day with a right knee contusion, adding “Good news is that there is no damage.”

3 Road Warriors

New Jersey ranks first in the NHL with 22 road-points (tie; STL) and is undefeated in regulation, 5-0-1, on the road vs. Atlantic Division opponents.

The club is 7-1-2 overall vs. the Atlantic and is 9-4-2 vs. all Eastern Conference opponents.

4 Lappin Summoned

With three players unable to travel, the Devils recalled Nick Lappin from Binghamton.

Lappin will meet the team in Montreal.
