1 Last Time They Met

These teams played last month in Boston, with the Bruins winning 3-1 with Anders Lee scoring the lone Islanders goal.

They wrap up their season series Jan. 18 at Barclays Center

2 First Impression

Islanders forward Tanner Fritz will make his NHL debut tonight.

Fritz, 26, had 35 points (10 goals, 25 assists) in 29 games with Bridgeport (AHL).

3 He's On Fire

Josh Bailey is on a career-long 11-game point streak (six goals, 13 assists).

He was also named the second star of the Month for December after scoring a league-high 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists) in 15 games.

4 Jaro In Net

Jaroslav Halak seems to have taken the starting netminder job for the Isles, as tonight marks his sixth straight start.

However, Halak has struggled somewhat, having lost three of the past five starts with a 3.81 GAA and .905 SV%. He made 30 saves and allowed two goals against Boston last month.

5 Red-Hot B's

The task won’t be easy tonight for the Isles as the Bruins enter tonight’s contest on a roll, with a 6-0-1 record in their last seven games.

Tuukka Rask is 10-0-1 in his last 11 starts and is coming off a 25-save shutout while David Backes has recorded four straight multi-point games.
