1 Classic Rematch

Tonight’s matchup at The Garden will be the first game between the two teams since the Winter Classic on Jan. 1.

In front of a frigid crowd at Citi Field, J.T. Miller won the game in overtime with a power-play goal.

2 Getting Nash-ty

Rick Nash ended a 12-game scoring drought with a two-goal performance in the Blueshirts’ 5-1 win over the Flyers Tuesday.

The Rangers’ alternate captain has 11 goals and 9 assists for 20 points in 45 games this season.

3 Hail to the King

With the win over the Flyers, Henrik Lundqvist becomes the only goalie in the history of the NHL to win at least 20 games in the first 13 seasons of his career.

With another brilliant 25-save performance Tuesday, Henrik Lundqvist became the first goalie in NHL history to record 20-plus wins in 13 consecutive seasons.

The 2018 NHL All-Star has a .924 save percentage this season and a 2.54 goals against average.

4 Going for the Kill

 

New York was 3-for-3 on the penalty kill in Tuesday’s win and are ranked second in the NHL in penalty kill efficiency (84.6 percent).

They have not given up a power-play goal in four games and scored their first shorthanded goal Tuesday. 

5 Like Mike


Michael Grabner scored in the Winter Classic against the Sabres and has historically had good numbers against Buffalo in his career.

Grabner has 14 points in 20 games (10 goals, 4 assists) and three multi-goal games.
