  • Rangers’ forward, Derek Stepan picked up an assist on the lone Rangers’ goal Saturday vs. Montreal
  • The Hastings, Minnesota native has 12 goals and 32 assists this season for 44 points, including two assists in his past four games
  • Stepan was a plus-2 in the first meeting with the Lightning on Oct. 30 and is currently a plus-16 in 65 games played this season. He has also recorded six points (two goals, four assists) in his last seven games vs. the Lightning.

Alain Vigneault and Lightning Associate Coach Rick Bowness were members of the same coaching staff in Ottawa and Vancouver. Vigneault was an Assistant Coach on Bowness’ staff with the Senators for parts of four seasons (1992–1996), while Bowness was an Assistant Coach on Vigneault’s staff for seven seasons with the Canucks (2006–2013).
