1 Unfriendly Confines

The Arizona desert has not been kind to the Islanders, who are 2-5-1 in their last eight trips to Arizona.

Contrast that to their 7-0-1 record in their last eight home games against the Coyotes. Can they buck the trend tonight?

2 Last Time They Met

The Islanders will look to sweep the season series tonight after beating the Coyotes at Barclays Center earlier this season.

John Tavares recorded a hat trick to propel the Islanders to a 5-3 win back on Oct. 24.

3 Reinforcements On the Way?

The injury-ravaged Islanders got some good news Sunday as both Johnny Boychuk and Casey Cizikas practiced.

However, it’s unclear if either will suit up tonight.

UPDATE: Neither will play tonight, but both are getting close to returning.

4 Rewriting the Record Books

Ryan Pulock put on a show Saturday, becoming the first Islander rookie defenseman to record five points in a game (one goal, four assists).

What does he have in store for an encore?

5 Scoring Machine

Hear what went down during the Isles-Bruins game, as Anthony Beauvillier wears a microphone for MSG Networks.

After a brief stint in the AHL earlier this month, Anthony Beauvillier has scored six goals in six games since being recalled, including two in Saturday’s win.

Beauvillier now has 10 goals in 37 and has eclipsed his goal total from all of last year (nine goals in 66 games).

6 Rookie Showcase

While the Isles have the Calder Trophy frontrunner in Mathew Barzal, the Coyotes have their own rookie phenom in Clayton Keller.

The 19-year-old center is third in rookie scoring behind Barzal and Vancouver’s Brock Boeser and leads the Coyotes in goals (14) assists (22) and points (36).
