1 HALAK GETS THE START

After replacing starter Thomas Greiss in the season-opening loss to Columbus Friday, Jaro Halak will be in the crease for the Islanders tonight. Halak stopped all 11 shots he faced in the relief effort against the Jackets.

Nick Leddy will skate in his 500th career game tonight. It’s the defenseman’s 242nd game as an Islander after playing his first 258 games with the Blackhawks.

4 FORMER ISLANDER TO PLAY

Matt Moulson was a healthy scratch for the Sabres in their opener Thursday, but he will make his season debut tonight. Moulson, who played for the Isles from 2009-13, has six goals and two assists in 10 career games against the Islanders.
