Israel Adesanya Quotes

On headlining Madison Square Garden
“Madison Square Garden is special. You walk around the halls and you see all these portraits. Athletes and entertainers who have graced the floor of this place. And I now get to be one of those people who closes the show. It’s going to be poetic. Poetic justice.”

On his potential walkout entrance
“It’s business. I’m walking from point A to point B. There’s a theme around this fight that’s going to activate me. It’s going to activate the dark side that I need.”

On if a win on Saturday will solidify this era as his era
“Yes, 100%. That’s why I’ve done anything in my power to make sure this happens.”

On how he manages to still have fun while competing in the cage
“It’s experience and warrior spirit. Not everyone can do this. But it’s the experience, I’ve done this so many times. And it’s fun. When you know what you’re doing and you’re the best in the world, I just have fun with it. And when I’m having fun, I’m the best in the world.”

On if he has any Hollywood aspirations
“This right now is my bread and butter. This is what I love doing. I really love learning and evolving in this game. I feel like the amount of time it would take to focus my attention on something else, it would take away from my craft.”
