MSG NETWORKS TO RE-AIR SUPER BOWL XXV ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH IN CELEBRATION OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GIANTS’ 1990 SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP

New York, NY (September 4, 2020) – To kick-off the 30th anniversary of the New York Giants’ 1990 Super Bowl Championship season, MSG Networks (NYSE: MSGN) today announced a special re-airing of Super Bowl XXV between the Giants and Buffalo Bills on Saturday, September 5th at 8:00pm ET.

Three decades ago, Bills kicker Scott Norwood’s field goal attempt sailed wide right in the final seconds of Super Bowl XXV and the Giants held on to defeat the Bills, 20-19, to secure the team’s second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

The game featured one of the greatest Super Bowl stories of all time as Jeff Hostetler, a seldom-used backup quarterback who took over as the starter late in the season after Phil Simms broke his foot, led the Giants to their second championship in five seasons and one of the most thrilling and memorable victories in the team’s 95-year history.

Fans can also watch the re-airing of Super Bowl XXV this Saturday on MSG GO, the network’s live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets and computers.

MSG Networks will have a complete lineup of Giants programming during the season as well, including “Giants Postgame, presented by Mercedes,” the team’s official postgame show that will air at 11:30pm ET following games played on Sundays, “Giants First and 10, presented by Stop & Shop,” a weekly pregame show that will break down the team’s upcoming matchup and also profile a key player or moment from the 1990 team, and “Giants Chronicles, presented by Hackensack Meridian Health,” an award-winning documentary series that will give fans a great look back each week at that storied championship season.
